Thimble Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 egg white
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup jam or jelly

Cream butter and sugar, add yolk and vanilla. Add flour and form a ball...make little one inch balls, roll in egg white then chopped nuts. Place on cookie sheet and make a dent and fill with jam.

Bake 350F for 12-15 min
